We are past the point of speculating on the potential of 5G technology. 5G is here, and it’s changing the ad market almost as quickly as the network speed it delivers.

Last week, Apple announced that iPhones released in 2022 will all be 5G-capable and that they will not introduce any new 4G-only models. Not only will this have a massive impact on consumers, but brands will also need to adjust to a whole new way of interacting with consumers or risk getting left behind. The advertising industry is beginning to adopt 5G to power new types of ad experiences, like augmented reality (AR) and other immersive formats, in order to stay relevant and engaging for consumers.
