Today we launched our final episode of FIVE – The 5G Podcast for Marketers. FIVE is a nine-part series that examines the wide range of shifts that will occur in digital marketing as a result of 5G.

There has been a lot written and said about 5G in the last couple of years. So much so that sometimes it can be difficult to separate the real from the far-fetched, the near-term from far future. The Emodo Institute developed the FIVE podcast to help marketers cut through the layers of 5G hype and uncover the useful specifics that matter. Over the course of nine episodes, show host Jake Moskowitz has explored the broad spectrum of ways 5G will impact the business, effectiveness, methods and rules of digital marketing.

Episode nine (“The Tipping Point”) brings it all together. In the final episode, Jake summarizes the big-picture takeaways from the series. And, Jake’s guests predict the triggers and timing of the 5G tipping point – the point at which 5G will become mainstream.

As 5G takes hold and becomes more prominent, proactive marketers are going to have to plan differently, think about data and targeting differently and even partner differently. From devices to data, from home to retail environments, from privacy to programmatic advertising, the 5G opportunities and challenges we’ve explored have proven to be significant, fascinating and numerous.

Our goal from the start has been to provide useful information in a format that inspires listeners to prepare for, and benefit from, the changes that await in the 5G future. We sincerely hope we achieve that goal with every listener of every episode.

A quick note of appreciation

As it turns out, the FIVE podcast has more listeners than we would have ever expected. For that, we’re grateful and we couldn’t be more pleased. We’ve also been very fortunate to have had such gracious, insightful guests join our show along the way. All of our guests generously gave their time and shared their thoughts knowing full well that FIVE was a specialized show for a specialized (i.e. limited) audience. For that, we’re very appreciative.

A big thank you to all!
